Inquirer Discussion Series

This is a year-long discussion program that can be used by any Lay Dominican chapter looking to engage other Catholics who are interested in learning more about the Lay Dominicans.

The format is a monthly discussion open to all Catholics in a parish, ideally held following the most attended Mass on the first Sunday of the month.

Life-professed members of the chapter take turns leading the discussion each month by giving each attendee a printed copy of the reading, reading it slowly and aloud as a group, then leading a discussion using the questions in the provided facilitator prompts.

This series fulfils a three-fold purpose:

  1. Allows the Word of God and orthodox teaching to touch the hearts of those who attend, with the aim of the salvation of souls.
  2. Invites interested adults to experience an approachable, Dominican-style discussion of scripture and theology, introducing them to what the life of a Lay Dominican can entail.
  3. Provides life-professed Lay Dominicans with an important venue for preaching.
